Turning TIME into Money In The World of Marketing Automation

A Successful Entrepreneur Stories Podcast and Blog

If someone told me a decade ago that today I would be a guest on a women entrepreneur stories podcast, discussing my journey as a marketing automation strategist and coach, I wouldn’t believe them for a moment.

At one point, I was intimidated by tech. It was a mystery. Yet here I am, embracing marketing technology (MARTECH) in an ever changing digital landscape as the way to make quantum leaps and unshackle myself from the ticking clock while helping other ambitious entrepreneurs grow and expand without burnout or sacrificing their family or health.

How Did This Happen?

A decade ago, life led me to a significant crossroads, one that took me to the dark corridors of a near-terminal blood cancer diagnosis. As I endured the treatment while hospitalized, everyday those hospital walls and God heard my prayers and constant plea for more time.

Time was the currency I didn’t have; the treasure slipping like sand through my fingers. It was like a black hole swallowing my dreams and aspirations.

I felt helpless.

Through the hospital window like a caged bird, I would watch people in the world outside, scurry about, absorbed in their daily lives. I yearned for that ordinariness, the mundane issues of “normal” life, the ability to fret about a meeting or plan a family vacation or overthink what I’d wear to my next Girls Night Out. They had the very thing I was running out of…

TIME.

It was what I wanted more than anything else in the world. It wasn’t more money. It wasn’t another client. Neither was it another dress or pair of boots. I wanted more time with family – to see my children grow up, go to university, graduate, marry, have children and achieve their own dreams. I wanted more time with friends. I wanted more time to build my business and make a genuine difference. There were days I felt cheated and wondered: How did I get here?

My Epiphany

It was during those dark and lonely hours that I made an unbreakable pact with myself. If I survived (scratch that) when I survived and was healed I would become the guardian of my own time while helping others protect theirs.

I Rise From The Ashes

Once I stepped back into the world, with a clean bill of health, a bag full of dreams and a deeper appreciation for time, I found myself diving into the field of marketing automation. Somehow it found me.

I slowly moved away from brick and mortar clients to focus on coaches, consultants and service providers, a community I realized was often submerged under the tidal wave of responsibilities leaving them gasping for time to juggle multiple hats and grow their business all at once.

Time As Sacred Capital

I quickly realized that marketing automation wasn’t just about streamlining workflows and business processes; it was about giving people the gift of time. Time they can use to add value to their lives, spend with their families and do the things they love. It clicked.

What I do isn’t just a business; it’s a life-philosophy translated into a service.

The strategies I devise, the tools I recommend, and the coaching sessions I conduct are all aimed at one thing: freeing up time for greater impact and quantum growth. My work ensured that my clients didn’t waste a second on something that didn’t enrich them personally or professionally and that they can pursue the things truly matter to them. This realization could easily be a highlight in any entrepreneur success stories podcast.

Purpose Amplifies Impact

Now, I realize that my life changing experience has given me a unique lens to look at time and its value. My work in marketing automation is not just about helping other coaches, consultants or even service providers grow their sales and revenue. It’s about amplifying lives and creating impact – a theme commonly explored in success stories of entrepreneurs.

So, In helping others get back time, I’ve found a fulfilling way to spend my own. And that to me is a life well-lived.
