RiseUP: Stories of Heart & Hustle

Short Films Featuring BIPOC Entrepreneurs in Regent Park

What is RiseUP?

Imagine a world where BIPOC entrepreneurs didn’t have to compromise their authenticity to succeed in business. A world where our values, beliefs, and unique perspectives were celebrated instead of minimized. But the reality is that systemic racism often forces us to whitewash ourselves in order to fit into a mold that wasn’t made for us. We are told that who we are isn’t good enough, and that we must become someone else to succeed.

What if we dared to be our true selves, unfiltered and unapologetic, and shared our stories in our own voices? That’s the spirit of RiseUp – a movement to honor the authenticity of BIPOC entrepreneurship and empower us to be our true selves through the work we do.

With RiseUp, we’re creating a platform for BIPOC entrepreneurs to step into their true authentic selves, even if only for one night. It’s time to start a revolution where our stories are told in an unfiltered way, without compromise.

On May 28th, 2023, we hosted our first ever RiseUP Film Fest in Regent Park, where we showcased the awe-inspiring short films of 8 incredible BIPOC entrepreneurs.

Stay connected with us and be a part of this powerful movement towards BIPOC authenticity and empowerment. Let’s show the world what we can do when we RiseUp together!
